What is this?
Your assistant gets to work in Gjestfri, on your terms
Gjestfri has its own entrance for AI assistants, a so-called MCP server. MCP is an open standard the major assistants use to connect to other services.
Once connected, the assistant can read and do things in Gjestfri for you. You choose how much it may do, and you can take the access back whenever you like.

How to connect
So easy anyone can do it
You need no code and no keys. If you can copy a link, you can connect.

Copy the address
This is Gjestfri's address. It's the same for everyone.

Paste it into your assistant
Open the settings and find the place for your own connections. It's often called Connectors or Apps. Name the connection Gjestfri.

Sign in and choose access
The assistant opens Gjestfri's own sign-in. Sign in as usual and choose what it may do. That's it.

The menus change a little over time, but the pattern is the same.

Open the settings in Claude and find Connectors. Choose to add a custom connector.

Name it Gjestfri and paste the address as the server URL.

Questions and answers
Do I need to be technical to use this?
No. You copy an address, paste it into your assistant and sign in. That's all. The word MCP you may have seen is just the name of the standard that makes it possible.
Which assistants does it work with?
Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok and GitHub Copilot have their own connections that work with Gjestfri. So do other assistants and tools that support MCP with sign-in, such as Cursor.
Does it cost anything?
The connection costs nothing extra in Gjestfri. Some assistants require a paid plan to use your own connections, so check what applies to yours.
Is it safe?
You sign in at Gjestfri and choose what the assistant may do. Refunds, charges, cancellations and deletions always require your confirmation. Every change is logged, and you can remove the access at any time.
What's the difference between this and Gjestfrid?
Gjestfrid is the assistant built into Gjestfri. The connection lets you use your own assistant instead, or as well, where you already work. Both work with the same data in Gjestfri.
Can my team connect?
Yes. Each person connects their own assistant with their own sign-in. The assistant never gets more than that person's role allows, and you can turn it off or limit it per person under Team.
How do I remove the access?
Go to Settings, AI assistants in Gjestfri and choose Remove access. The assistant loses access immediately.
Can the assistant see my guests' personal data?
The assistant sees what you give it access to, such as names and messages in your bookings. What you ask about is processed by the assistant's provider under their terms. Choose Read only or fewer areas if you want to limit it.
