Delete Your Account and Data

You have the right to request deletion of your account and all personal data we have stored about you.

How to request account deletion

Send an email to trond@appit.ai with the subject “Delete my Gjestfri account”. Include:

  • Your name
  • The email address linked to the account
  • Any additional information that helps us identify the account

You can also request account deletion directly in the app under Settings.

What gets deleted?

When we process your request, we permanently delete the following data:

  • Account information (name, email, phone number, password)
  • Property data and photos you have uploaded
  • Push notification tokens
  • Message history with guests
  • Settings and preferences
  • Device information

What is retained?

Under the Norwegian Accounting Act, we are required to retain certain data for up to 5 years:

  • Transaction data: Payments and invoicing records (the Norwegian Accounting Act)
  • Booking history: Anonymized booking statistics tied to the accounting obligation

This data is anonymized where possible, so it cannot be traced back to you.

Timeline

We process all account deletion requests within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

Good to know

  • Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
  • Make sure you have no active bookings or outstanding payments before requesting deletion
  • Uninstall the app from your device once the deletion is confirmed
